The cost of living in this area is about 3750 per year. This includes your housing need, food expenses and other basic needs like transportation to work or school which can be expensive for those who don’t have a car payment on their credit cards every month, and a few other miscellaneous things. For a single person however, this can be a little high. However, if you have a spouse or really good friends then it is not that bad.
The weather in this area is cold during the winter and just warm enough in summer to enjoy being outside for extended periods of time. In my opinion the only problem with the weather here is when it rains because its cold and wet your entire life feels terrible… But I’m from Florida so I don’t know what’s wrong with me!
In terms of crime, no one has been assaulted or robbed near my house but there are gunshots every night which makes me feel unsafe at night sometimes. Other than that though its pretty safe here.
The school system in this area is absolutely horrendous. The majority of the schools are underfunded, buildings are old and broken down and teachers barely care about their jobs like they used to. This doesn’t make it much better when the student’s attitudes towards learning are not great either. It has become very hard for me to believe in my education after seeing what goes on in these classrooms every day. Everyone is struggling with money so I’m sure that has a lot to do with it but still… Something should be done to change this way of life.
Another thing that I’ve noticed about the students and teachers – to say it bluntly – is that they don’t care. For example, there were 30 kids in one of my classes that didn’t do anything for an entire semester because they just didn’t want to be there. We all knew this girl was pregnant and barely showing but no one bothered to tell the teacher until we told her because we were sick of it. We had a student that would just sit there and not do anything all class, every day. The teacher got so tired of seeing him being disruptive in his seat that she finally told him to just go outside for an hour break if he didn’t want to participate – which he never did after that. On top of that, our teacher was very kind but there were days where it felt like she gave up on teaching us because she’d just sit at her desk and watch Netflix. The purpose of this post isn’t to badmouth the school system or teachers but to show what has been going on in my school lately. I’m writing this to show that something needs to be done because everyone I know is struggling with money along with their education.
The average cost of a potty break is about $937.50 per month, but it can range from as low at around 400 bucks if you’re going every week to over 1200 dollars for those who require their diapers only once or twice weekly.
The average hourly rate of $23.42 has been derived from the following formula: ($937.5 / 40) * HOURLY = 23 42
The cost breakdown is as follows, with an average price tag of just under 24 dollars per hour: wages/hourly wage; benefits insurance & retirement funds + taxed payroll checks resulting in approximately 21%.
During these tough times, your income will just get you by…Good luck
