In this article,we will share I need to set my alarm for 12 noon but I am confused whether it’s am or pm?What time does your alarm go off? Is it morning or evening that you want to wake up for, and if so which one of these two possibility suits better: am/pm.
You may want to think about this for a second.
In mathematical world, representing time is expressed with three integers: [h], [m] and [s]. In programming too. In Linux systems it looks like that:
1544896197 1544896198 1544896199
You can find current timestamp in your system in many ways. But I’ll show you one way which is using date command:
$ date Thu Jul 8 03:00:57 CEST 2016
we can get information about specific day of the year. For example, get current time on July 7th, 2016 at noon European Central Time , you can do it in the following way:
$ date –date “2016-07-07 12:00:00” +%
The time you set your alarm for should depend on what hour of the day it is. If its noon, then 5 minutes will not be an issue and we recommend setting your clock to 24 hours so that there’s one 12:00 each day (AM/PM). The term meridiem means “midday” which refers both AM and PM spans; these terms Ante (before) Meri & Post-mero timing windows last until midnight.
If your asleep at noon, adjust accordingly.
You should also avoid setting an alarm to go off in between sleep cycles for reasons given further below. There are four stages of human sleep . Only the fourth stage allows people to dream and only during the REM portion of this last stage will you recall two dreams after waking up. The other three stages count as NREM (non-rapid eye movement) , wherein none of that refreshing mental clarity can be attained; instead all physical restoration takes place which is why the body feels so rested once it happens.
If you set your clock/watch alarm to sound off within any of those first three stages then there’s a good chance you’re going to wake up feeling exhausted whereas if it goes off just after REM is finished then you might feel refreshed.
There are many theories as to why the body feels so tired after being woken up during NREM sleep but I have my own theory on that which I will expound upon further below. Stay tuned because it’s definitely not pretty .
There are articles about it, but they claim it’s neither. There’s no option for that on an alarm clock on a phone, so is it in the morning or in the evening?
It is midnight in the morning, noon in the afternoon
Midday is the best time to set an alarm
.Can you tell me whether 12 noon is in the morning or evening so I can set my alarm?
According to the articles I read quickly, it’s neither; however, mobile phones don’t have this option, so is it am or pm?
Is there a good time to set my alarm?
Your alarm should go off at 11:55 am.
Put your clock on 12:05 pm.
It shouldn’t be a problem since noon is daylight.
Twelve o’clock corresponds to twelve o’clock in the morning.
The only 12:00 you will have on a 24 hour clock is on the 12th of the day.
The AM starts at 00:00 and ends at 23:59, while the PM begins at 12:00 and ends at 23:59
“Meridiem” is Latin for “midday.”
Ante (before) meridiem 00:00:00 – 11:59:59
Post-meridiem is in effect from 12:00 p.m. through 11:59 p.m.
From midnight to midnight. After 11:59pm, the afternoon begins, and 12 midday marks the start of the evening.
The afternoon begins at noon.
It is night in the morning.
